PAMPELIŠKA LÉKAŘSKÁ, jinak SMETÁNKA (Taraxacum officinale)
nafoukanou vatovou kouličku, díky které ji může vítr rozsévat na všechny strany. V listech, odnožích, kořenech a květech se nachází bílá mléčná šťáva nahořklé chuti. Bylinnou surovinou jsou kořeny, lodyhy, listy a květy, které obsahují terpeny, hořké látky (např. pektiny,inuliny, pryskyřice, organické kyseliny, třísloviny, olej, provitamín A, vitamín C, malé množství vitamínu E a také minerální soli (železo, fosfor, vápník).V lidovém léčitelství se odvar ze sušených květů pampelišky užívá na pročištění krve i celého těla (důkladně čistí i křečové žíly na nohou). Odvar ze sušeného kořene a listů působí projímavě a vzbuzuje chuť k jídlu. Prospěch přináší především pacientům s revma tismem. Ak tivuje ledviny, močový měchýř a játra a to tím, že působí nesmírně močopudně a odstraňuje odpadní látky. Při nachlazení, chřipce, angíně a jiných nemocech, u kterých se vyskytuje kašel, se doporučuje odvar z květů, nebo výluh z kořenů. Jako dobrý prostředek na odkašlávání, zejména pro děti, slouží čerstvé květy usmažené v medu nebo cukru. Odvar z kořenů pampelišky se doporučuje pří únavě a vyčerpanosti. Výborným prostředkem na nervové poruchy je čerstvá šťáva z mladých listů a květů smíchaná s bílým hroznovým vínem, v rovném poměru. Výluhy a odvary z pampelišky lékařské snižují cukr v krvi, ale nepoužíváme je samotně, ale míchané s jinými bylinami, např. kořenem čekanky. Oblíbený je salát z mladých listů, uznávaný jako afrodiziakum.Podobně působí také likéry, připravené na bázi pampelišky lékařské.
Víno z pampelišky lékařské
2,5 l (obsahově) květů pampelišky lékařské, 3 citróny, 3 kg cukru, 7,5 l vody, 2,5 dkg pekařského droždí Natrhané květy, nejlépe bez stopek, rozložte večer ve slabé vrstvě na folii tak, aby se květy zbavily všeho hmyzu a také aby lehce zvadly. Ráno květy z folie seberte a ještě jednou důkladně očistěte. Květy, které jsou špinavé, oschlé a nahnilé, vyhoďte. A ještě jeden recept:
Pampeliškové víno 2
1l květů Smetanky lékařské
4,5l vody
1,5kg cukru
2 citróny
2 pomeranče
40g droždí
Pampeliškové květy natrháme i s kalíšky, spaříme ve 2,5 litrech vařící vody a necháme 24 hodin stát. Potom pampelišky přecedíme, květy odstraníme a vodu z nich nalijeme do 5 litrové láhve. Mezitím si svaříme 2 l vody s cukrem, necháme vychladit a nalijeme na pampeliškovou vodu. Oloupané a na kolečka nakrájené citróny a pomeranče bez jader a kůry přidáme k droždí, dobře zazátkujeme a doprostřed vsuneme kvasnou rourku na 6 týdnů. Až všechny citróny a pomeranče klesnou ke dnu, může se víno stáčet do lahví.
Pampelišková kořalka
Vyrobené víno z květů pampelišky lékařské necháme destilovat. Získáme tak čistý alkohol o síle 60–70 %, který slijeme do lahví, zazátkujeme, zavoskujeme a odneseme do sklepa, kde musí ještě dozrávat jeden rok. Podáváme chlazenou na 10–12° C.

Likér z květu pampelišky lékařské
Švédská kořalka z kořenů pampelišky lékařské
Čerstvé kořeny z pampelišky lékařské, čistá vodka (40%) Čerstvě, na jaře nebo na podzim vykopané, kořeny pampelišky lékařské (kdy jsou nejvíce aromatické), důkladně, ale rychle, aby se nevypláchly důležité látky, omyjte kartáčkem pod tekoucí vodou, rozložte a částečně usušte. Pak nakrájejte na kolečka a nasypte do skleněné nádoby. Kořeny zalijte alkoholem tak, aby hladina byla 5 cm nad nimi. Nádobu hermeticky uzavřete a postavte na tmavé a teplé místo po dobu dvou týdnů. Po uplynutí této doby tekutinu slijte a přefiltrujte přes filtrační papír. Podávejte chlazenou na pokojovou teplotu. Kořalka má vytrvalou, trošku pikantní chuť, která je doplněna lehkou nahořklou příchutí. Má červenohnědou barvu. Jestli se vám zdá, že má silnou esenci, tak ji rozřeďte vodkou a odstavte, pokud se tekutina s kořalkou nespojí.
